The highly anticipated 1.5 update is now live for Stardew Valley across all its console platforms. The update has already been available for PC, where it launched just prior to Christmas 2020.
The 1.5 update will make a variety of fixes to reported bugs, will update features and add quality of life improvements.
More notably, it will also bring local split-screen co-op, new items to acquire, a new beach-themed farm layout, new characters, new home renovations, new remixed music and much more.
Prior to the release of the 1.5 update, the developer and creator of Stardew Valley, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone announced its incoming arrival via Twitter.
“The Stardew Valley 1.5 Update for Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation are out, and should be available on all platforms within the next couple of hours,” announced the developer.
However Barone has been made aware of a bug in the game that turns the ground blue on consoles. The bug apparently only happens in a specific area, but plans are afoot to fix the bug in an upcoming patch.
“I’m aware of the “blue ground” bug on consoles… We’re investigating it, and after it’s figured out it will be fixed in a patch,” said Barone on Twitter.
The developer continued: “Fortunately it only seems to happen in one specific area, and is only a visual bug. (This message brought to you by Joja Bluu).”
