2018 and 2019 saw the remasters, rereleases and remakes of a tonne of classic franchises, and with the money pouring in from nostalgic fans, it’s easy to see why more companies are looking at releasing older IPs with updated graphics.
The latest franchise that’s rumoured to be making a comeback is none other than the beloved Borderlands games, and the news comes courtesy of none other than the sleuths on Reddit [via CriticalHit].

A Redditor by the name of DeftonesBandPSN shared a screenshot which appears to show the Trophy list for the upcoming game, Devil May Cry 5.
In the image, you can clearly see a Trophy achievement for “Borderlands Game Of The Year Edition,” a game which doesn’t – as far as we know – actually exist.

If this happens, there are going to be some seriously happy people out there, as both Borderlands and Borderlands 2 have a huge fanbase, and both games absolutely deserve a place on current-gen consoles.
Over on Twitter, more images have popped up, fuelling the fire and suggesting that yes, the game could really be happening.

@DuvalMagic Now that the trophy list has officially leaked, can you confirm Borderlands GOTY for ps4 will have a separate trophy list than that of the ps3 version of Borderlands? I need a new Borderlands platinum! 🙂

Of course, take things with a grain of salt for now, but this would definitely be an exciting launch for console gamers!

Would you like to see a Borderlands collection on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One?
