Maus lends her voice to various characters in Resident Evil Village, but more notably as one of the sinister Witches, the daughters of Lady Dimitrescu.

The Capcom social media pages paid their respects to Jeanette Maus: “We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.

Other than starring in Resident Evil Village, Maus has also starred in a plethora of independent short films since 2007. Maus also taught acting at drama school John Rosenfeld Studios in California.

The Instagram page of John Rosenfeld Studios also paid their respects to Jeanette in a post.

Jeanette was truly an artist, and felt truly grateful to live as an artist,” wrote the studio. “She had an indomitable spirit and was hungry to be the best person, the best teacher, the best friend and the best actor she could be. The world lost a force of nature and we will be feeling that for a long time.

Maus’ fiancé Dusty Warren set up a GoFundMe page following her diagnosis of colon cancer to help towards treatment. The funding page is still active and you can visit the page if you’d like to help the family of Jeanette in any way.

We at GameByte would like to send all our love and well-wishes to the family & friends of Jeanette Maus. We look forward to experiencing her performance when Resident Evil Village releases May 7th.
