Do you need a little Jesus in your life? Do you want to follow in the footsteps of our Lord and saviour? Well, now you can! I Am Jesus is a game that places you straight into the sandals of the son of God, and now the game will do so using Unreal Engine 5!
Last month, I Am Jesus’s developers, SimulaM, announced that the game would be switching from Unity to Unreal Engine 5.
As a result, the Holy Spirit sim now has a new video showcasing the game’s characters and locations [via Twinfinite]. Check it out below!
According to the game’s divine developers, Unreal Engine 5 has allowed the game to become what was originally envisioned.
Of course, if you’ve never heard of I Am Jesus, then you probably aren’t familiar with the premise. If that’s the case, here’s the game’s Steam synopsis to get you up to speed:
“Go back in time over 2,000 years and follow the same path as Jesus Christ, from his baptism to the resurrection. Inspired by the New Testament stories, ‘I Am Jesus Christ’ is a simulation like no other.
“Are you prepared to fight with Satan in the desert, cure the sick and help the needy? Perform over 30 iconic miracles from the feeding of the 5,000 and healing lepers to the calming of the sea and giving sight to the blind.
“Recharge the Holy Spirit’s power through prayer as brand new concepts work in conjunction with timeless tales. ‘I Am Jesus Christ’ is inspired by the New Testament and hopes to spread the Gospel uniquely and engagingly.
“Journey through over 10 hours of gameplay across the desert, water, and mountains. All culminating in the famous story of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection.”
Personally, I can’t wait to see what fighting Satan in the desert actually entails. Hopefully, the whole affair will play out a bit like an episode of Dragon Ball Z. I mean, who doesn’t want to see a Super Saiyan son of God?
