If you’re looking for more wacky and adorable games to play in the future then upcoming co-op puzzler KeyWe might be one to keep your eye on. Developed by Stonewheat & Sons and published by Sold Out, KeyWe follows a “whimsical post office” which is staffed by two kiwi birds. It’s their job to keep business running as normal, despite their lack of opposable thumbs.

The birds, Jeff and Debra, must work their way through a variety of different levels to ensure their customers’ letters and packages are delivered on time, in what’s described as a “co-operative postal puzzler.”
KeyWe is a Recommended title from Wholesome Games, an initiative which seeks out the best and brightest indie games from around the world. Though it’s not yet playable, I’m inclined to agree with that!

“Encounter perilous postal environments and navigate seasonal hazards while waddling through the Telepost’s various mail rooms, and partner up with a pal to help these adorable kiwis complete their tasks, whatever the weather,” reads KeyWe’s description. “Unlock new accessories to customise your kiwi and become the best-dressed mail bird in Bungalow Basin.”
KeyWe’s developers are pretty active on Twitter, sharing snippets and work-in-progress shots of the game and updating fans. Below you can see the animation for a grumpy cassowary who I assume is mad because of the lack of feathers. All in good time, cassowary, all in good time.
KeyWe already looks like a lot of fun, and from the trailer below, this is definitely a game we can’t wait to get our hands (wings?) on.
KeyWe is expected to flap onto the gaming scene at some point in 2021. It’ll be heading to PC and, if this looks right up your alley, you can wishlist it right now on Steam.
