Kingdom Hearts 3 Outsells Resident Evil 2 By An Insane Amount

2019 is going to be a fantastic year for the gaming community. We’re still in January and we’ve already seen the launches of some of the most highly-anticipated games of all time – namely, the Resident Evil 2 remake and Kingdom Hearts 3.

In Japan both titles released on the same day, 25th January 2019, but KH3 absolutely slayed RE2 in sales numbers.

According to stats from 4Gamer, Resident Evil 2 has sold 252,848 units in its first week, whereas Kingdom Hearts 3 has sold an eye-watering 610,077.

Both seriously impressive numbers for the first week of sales, but Square Enix has absolutely dominated, which isn’t too surprising as fans have been waiting for the third instalment in the Kingdom Hearts franchise since 2005.

It’s a great time to be a console gamer right now, and fans are absolutely loving the nostalgia hit that’s been so kindly given to us from Capcom and Square Enix.

If you think that’s it for amazing games this year then you’re going to be pleasantly surprised. Some of the most exciting games of all time are dropping in the next few weeks alone, including the likes of The Division 2, Metro Exodus and Far Cry New Dawn.

Rumour also suggests we might see the swan song of the PlayStation 4, which is likely to be either Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us Part 2 or Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding.
