Kirby And The Forgotten Land Release Date Finally Announced

Nintendo has announced a release date for the upcoming Kirby and the Forgotten Land, alongside releasing a new trailer. The next entry in the series was announced in September last year, although leakers confirmed its existence prior to the official announcement.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be the first 3D action game in the main series. The new trailer released today show’s off Kirby’s iconic copy ability, as well as the game’s action-orientated combat. Forgotten Land will also feature a number of minigames, diverse environments and some of the specific copy abilities Kirby can use.

It also reveals the release date, which is two months away on March 25th.

One ability shows Kirby using a drill to dive underground and attack enemies from below. Another ability, titled ranger, allows Kirby to attack from afar. We also get a sneak peak at some of the bosses, including a tree that uses vines to trap Kirby in a circular arena.

The trailer also shows Kirby and the Forgotten Land’s multiplayer mode. A second player can take control of Bandana Waddle Dee, and travel alongside Kirby on their adventure. However, co-op is only available on a single Nintendo Switch, as there is no option for online multiplayer.

Forgotten Land will feature a central hub known as Waddle Dee Town. This hub area will grow in size as the player journeys through the world. The town will expand with new shops and activities. The trailer briefly features Waddle Dee Town at the end.

Elsewhere, eager Destiny 2 fans are using science to decipher the latest trailer for the upcoming The Witch Queen DLC expansion.
