Get ready Crash Bandicoot fans, because everyone’s favourite bandicoot is seemingly headed to your mobile phone. The supposed news has yet to be confirmed by Activision, so as always, take it with a pinch of salt for now.
The leak comes from Twitter users JumpButton and Motwera, who claim to have stumbled across the upcoming mobile game by the way of a Facebook ad. As you can see in the tweets below, the game is reportedly coming from mobile giants, King, the Activision Blizzard-owned company who you might know from Candy Crush.
Unsurprisingly, the game looks like an endless runner, though the screenshots do seem to hint at some sort of base-building element.
When a beloved franchise makes its way to mobile, there’s always some grumbling amongst players. However, an endless runner is pretty much Crash in a nutshell, and these screenshots look pretty darn good if you ask me.

Responding to the outrage over the mobile game, one user tweeted: “Everyone who’s getting mad at the Crash mobile game leak needs to chill.
“The franchise is not ‘destroyed.’ The mobile thing is going to be a supplement to the brand to reach new demographic, not its main pipeline in detriment of console games.”
There’s no word yet on when the Crash Bandicoot game will be launching, but if ads are already out in the wild then we can probably expect an official announcement in the coming weeks.
If Activision’s previous success with mobile games is anything to go by, we can expect this to be a pretty nifty title.
Call of Duty Mobile is one of the best – and most successful – shooters that you can download on the app store. If Activision can made CoD a successful mobile game, then surely Crash Bandicoot will be a piece of cake…
