There’s nothing better than cross-platform play, but could be really soon be playing PlayStation games on our Nintendo Switches? One leak seems to suggest as much, and it’s honestly all I’ve ever wanted in life.
The supposed news comes from Reddit [via Kotaku], where a user shared a screenshot from a Sony survey they’d recently been sent. The survey, which is used to gauge player experience and offer feedback to Sony, specifically asks users for their opinion on the following:
“ability to play PS4 Remote Play on more devices (e.g., able to play on Nintendo Switch, Apple Tv, or Android TV).”
The email explains that “the survey results will help us better understand how PS4 Remote Play is being used and to create an experience that works for you.”
Whether or not this is just a generic question, or if it alludes to the possibility of Switch-friendly Remote Play remains to be seen. Hopefully this is on the cards for the future though, because honestly, who wouldn’t want that?!
In other Nintendo news, the company has just unveiled its special edition Animal Crossing themed Switch console.
The thing is absolutely adorable, with an amazing array of colours, a cute AF dock, and a subtle back design. Interestingly, it’s the full Nintendo Switch, and not the Lite console. It comes with the improved battery life and a copy of the game.
Alongside the console reveal, Nintendo also confirmed a matching Animal Crossing carry case will also be available, this time for both the full Nintendo Switch and the Lite.
Honestly, I really don’t need a third Nintendo Switch…but I also might have to buy a third Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year. Both the fancy-pants console and the game will be dropping in March.
