Nintendo has unveiled its Animal Crossing: New Horizons themed Switch console, and oh boy, it really is something out of this world. Although Nintendo had been keeping quiet on the idea of a special edition console to celebrate the release of the new AC game, it was pretty much assumed there’d be a nice new Switch. The House of Mario has absolutely not disappointed with this absolutely stunning Switch.
The thing is absolutely adorable, with an amazing array of colours, a cute AF dock, and a subtle back design. Interestingly, it’s the full Nintendo Switch, and not the Lite console. It comes with the improved battery life and a copy of the game.
Nintendo writes: “Start a new island life when this #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons #NintendoSwitch bundle comes to Europe on 20/03! It includes an island-themed Nintendo Switch console, dock and Joy-Con controllers, plus a download code for the game itself.”
Available world-wide, there’s going to be a HUGE demand for this beautiful Switch.
Alongside the console reveal, Nintendo also confirmed a matching Animal Crossing carry case will also be available, this time for both the full Nintendo Switch and the Lite.
Honestly, I really don’t need a third Nintendo Switch…but I also might have to buy a third Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year.
Dropping in March, the title’s official description reads as follows: “If the hustle and bustle of modern life’s got you down, Tom Nook has a new business venture up his sleeve that he knows you’ll adore: the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package! Sure, you’ve crossed paths with colorful characters near and far. Had a grand time as one of the city folk.
“May’ve even turned over a new leaf and dedicated yourself to public service! But deep down, isn’t there a part of you that longs for…freedom? Then perhaps a long walk on the beach of a deserted island, where a rich wealth of untouched nature awaits, is just what the doctor ordered!”
