Left 4 Dead 2’s first update in nearly a decade is now here, and Valve is celebrating the occasion with huge savings!

In case you missed it, The Last Stand is the brand new update for the beloved Left 4 Dead 2. Announced earlier this summer, the update is a community-made expansion, officially given the seal of approval by Valve.
Costing absolutely nothing (if you have Left 4 Dead 2 already), The Last Stand introduces a brand new campaign for players to sink their teeth into.

Valve says: “Years in the making, The Last Stand is a massive Left 4 Dead 2 update created entirely by the L4D community. Find your friends, dust off your guns, and face the zombie horde one last time in over twenty new Survival Arenas, four Scavenge Arenas and a Campaign based on The Lighthouse Survival map.
“New achievements, melee weapons, animations, dialog, competitive balance adjustments and other surprises await anyone brave enough to take a stand.”

If you don’t own Left 4 Dead 2 already then boy do we have some exciting news for you, as Valve is celebrating the launch of The Last Stand with a cheap-as-chips sale on the base game. Right now you can pick it up for just £1.43 GBP. It might not be payday yet, but that’s definitely a very decent sum to hand over!
Find out more and buy your copy before the sale ends, right here on Steam!

The last time Left 4 Dead 2 received an update was back in 2012, when Valve gave the green light to another L4D2 fan project, officially making it canon. Whether or not this is now going to be how the game will continue to run in the future remains to be seen, but it’s a great way to keep the community happy in lieu of another full Left 4 Dead title.
