Lucy Dreaming is a LucasArts-inspired point-and-click adventure inspired by the 90s, and it’s now smashed its Kickstarter goal with ease.
At the time of writing, with 14 days until the campaign ends, Lucy Dreaming has more than achieved its Kickstarter goal of £15,000 with a current total of over £17,000 raised and counting!
When the campaign ends, Lucy Dreaming aims to release for Windows, MacOS, Linux (via Steam), or DRM-free from Itch.io. There are also additional stretch goals that, if reached, mean Lucy Dreaming will also release for Android and iOS.
Lucy Dreaming tells the tale of a young girl named Lucy who suffers from a recurring nightmare. She sets out on an adventure to find out why this is happening to her. In the process can she discover the secret to controlling her dreams?
Lucy Dreaming is developed by UK-based indie studio Tall Story Games, led by Tom Hardwidge. As well as being inspired by classic point-and-click adventures of yesteryear, Lucy Dreaming is also inspired by classic British comedies such as Monty Python and Blackadder. Expect lots of tongue-in-cheek humour, and some NSFW quips!
According to its Kickstarter page, Lucy Dreaming will have an eight to 10-hour story with a “wide variety of detailed dreams and real-world environments” and “hidden Easter eggs and humorous pop culture references.”
Once the Kickstarter campaign has ended, Lucy Dreaming aims to release sometime in 2022. Do you like the look of this indie point-and-click adventure? Let us know across our social media channels.
