Marvel’s Agent Carter To Voice Lara Croft In Netflix’s ‘Tomb Raider’ Series

Marvel’s Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, is to voice the iconic Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider anime series from Netflix.

Atwell is perhaps better known as Peggy Carter from the MCU, as well as the cancelled Agent Carter TV series. Which by the way, that series was criminally underrated, in my opinion [Editor’s note – Richard is right].

Atwell, who will star in the upcoming Mission: Impossible movies, is now the voice of Lara Croft. As reported by Deadline, the Tomb Raider animated series picks up from where 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider left off.

No Camilla Luddington?

However, as a lifelong fan of the Tomb Raider series, and for the benefit of continuity, I find it a little strange that Camilla Luddington will not be reprising her role. Luddington was the voice of Croft since the 2013 Tomb Raider video game reboot.

That being said if for whatever reason Camilla Luddington can’t be the voice of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider anime series, then I believe that Hayley Atwell is a fantastic choice.

Netflix certainly has a lot of video game adaptations in the works including Resident Evil, Assassin’s Creed, Devil May Cry, and much more. As a fan of the Tomb Raider franchise, this animated series is one of the adaptations that I am looking forward to most of all.
