Former Mass Effect and Dragon Age director Aaryn Flynn is revealing his new title at The Game Awards this week. Exciting!
Aaryn Flynn is a BioWare veteran who had been with the company for over 17 years. During his time at BioWare, Flynn not only worked on the Mass Effect series but also Dragon Age too.
“Very excited to share that we’ll be revealing our game at The Game Awards this week,” tweeted Flynn. “I can’t believe this is actually happening.”
After 17 years with BioWare, Flynn departed the company and in 2018 he became the General Manager at Improbable’s Edmonton studio. At this time, we do know what the new game is called, however, we do know that it will be an MMORPG.
It’s a no go for Dragon Age
In related news, for those hoping to see more Dragon Age at The Game Awards this week, don’t hold your breath. EA and BioWare recently celebrated Dragon Age Day on December 4th. In a development update, BioWare reassured fans that it is still working on Dragon Age 4. It also reiterated that Dragon Age 4 will be a single player focused game.
Furthermore, BioWare told fans that we will have to wait until next year for a new update on the game. The development post plays into the rumours that Dragon Age 4 isn’t scheduled to release until 2023.
