Metacritic’s Highest-Rated Games Of The Decade Are A Little Controversial

As 2019 draws to a close we’re not only saying goodbye to another year, but another decade entirely. Of course it’s a pretty monumental occasion and the internet isn’t letting go of the 2010s without a proper dose of nostalgia. Keeping with the trend, we looked to video game ratings website, Metacritic, to see which games were rated the highest of the last ten years.

Honestly, I’m a little surprised. Firstly, it’s criminal that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves isn’t on the list when 3 and 4 are. Also, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is way down at number 14 when it could be at the top spot.

Looking through the scores it’s interesting to see how many narrative-driven games feature with prominent scores. Remember when we got told the single player game was dying? Yeah, well that definitely didn’t happen in the 2010s.
