It could be a great time to be a Nintendo Switch owner if the latest leaks are to be believed, as it looks like a butt-tonne of amazing games are about to get ported onto the handheld console.
There’s a lot to unpack here, so let’s get to it but as always: take the rumours with a big ol’ pinch of salt.
A well-known gaming leaker named Wario64 managed to snag some screenshots supposedly captured by a Best Buy employee. The snaps show ’employee terminal listings,’ a.k.a Best Buy’s internal employees-only system.
The images show Persona 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy and The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
alright Best Buy is wild. Now there’s a listing for THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST for Switch. Not making any of this up.
Link’s Awakening is already on Best Buy’s system so it’s not a mistake pic.twitter.com/5SjguAwz5I

Wario64 confirmed with their sources that the images were real, but didn’t publicise the source, so don’t take it as gospel truth just yet.
In a later tweet, Wario64 confirmed the listing had been removed, but added it’s of no significance at the moment. Guess we’ll wait for a Nintendo Direct then…
Just to clarify on the Best Buy thing, the Switch listings are still there in its RSS, but not on their CoreBlue system. Basically, the listings are still there in one form
It being deleted or not means nothing anyway until they’re officially announced

Those aren’t the only games slated for a Switch release though, as other Zelda classics, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker have also seen some pretty exciting rumours.
A Twitter user named Stealth commented on the Best Buy leaks, saying: “I don’t know what the Best Buy ‘Link To The Past’ listing is but according to a few sources, Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD are both coming to the Switch eShop. Might be related to the Best Buy listing, might not. This is just a rumor so grains of salt and all that.”
They then went on to add: “The primary source for this is someone who told me about over 15 games WAY earlier than when they were announced so I was confident enough to post it but it really is a rumor until official.”

What do you think? Real or fake? Personally I would love nothing more than these Zelda games on the Switch. Make it happen, Nintendo!
