Microsoft introduces a PC Game Pass Referral Program

Microsoft has introduced the PC Game Pass Referral program aimed at bringing more players to the subscription service.

With the PC Game Pass being a little bit more expensive recently, Microsoft have launched a program that will make it easier to play with friends. If you have a friend who is already a member, they will now be able to give you access to a 14-day trial. This can be shared between up to five people.

How to Access the Game Pass Referral Program

The process is quite simple. Log into your account, select the ‘Give PC Game Pass’ option and then send the code that appears to your friend in whatever way you see fit.

The code will be redeemable for up to 30 days. If it is not redeemed within this time, the key will be available again after a further 30 days.

However, keep in mind that this 14-day trial will only be available to new members. So your friends must not currently – or have in the past – had a subscription to the Game Pass. Additionally, the person sending out the invites must have a current subscription to the service.

For the popular ones amongst you, the five friend limit will reset annually on January 1. This means that you can keep selecting five friends each year (as I said, if you’re popular).

Once the code has been redeemed, the person will have access to all the benefits of the Game Pass. You can find out more here.

Only available on PC

As you can see, this offer is only available for PC Game Passes. So for PC players, you will have access to a large library of games as well as an EA Play membership.
