Microsoft is to end its ‘no questions asked’ refund policy for digital purchases of Cyberpunk 2077 from next month on July 6th.
Following the publicised and troubled launch of Cyberpunk 2077, Microsoft enabled an easy refund policy for anyone that wanted their money back for the RPG.
The refund policy is eligible with digital purchases of Cyberpunk 2077, however, following a series of updates, Microsoft will be reverting back to the standard refund policy.
The updated policy has been detailed on the Xbox support page. A section of it reads: “all sales of Digital Game Products are considered final, but we understand there may be extenuating circumstances.”
Have you claimed a refund?
The refund policy that made an exception for digital purchases of Cyberpunk 2077 has been in place since December 2020.
The revised policy continues: “The team at CD Projekt Red continues to work hard to improve the experience of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox players and has made a number of updates.
“Given these updates, Microsoft will be returning to our standard digital game refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 on July 6 for both new and existing purchases.”
So, if you want an easy refund for your digital purchase of Cyberpunk 2077, you’ve got about two weeks to do so.
Just this week, the latest big patch went live for Cyberpunk 2077 prior to its return on the PlayStation Store. However, developers CDPR had advised not to play the game on the base PS4.
