Miles Morales Final Easter Egg Has Been Found (& It Might Make You Cry)

The final Easter egg in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been found, and as a touching tribute to a beloved fallen actor, it might make you cry.

Just last week it was noted by Insomniac Games’ Community Director James Stevenson that there was still “at least one” Easter egg that had yet to be discovered. Now it seems that final piece of the puzzle has been revealed.

A new tribute to deceased Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman has been found in the game, with developer Eric Monacelli confirming this to be the last missing Easter egg.

Chadwick Boseman tragically lost his life to colon cancer this year at the age of 43.

Boseman’s death gripped fans worldwide not only for the cultural impact of the Black Panther character that he portrayed, but also how he got on with his life, carrying on working and living, knowing that he had cancer in its advanced stages.

Boseman has also been praised for his endless charity work, which further highlighted how much of a loving person he was.

With all the good Boseman brought to the world, it’s very fitting that the developers at Insomniac Games would honour him within the new Miles Morales adventure.

In the most recently-discovered tribute to the actor, a street in the game has been renamed “Boseman Way.”  This particular street is officially known as 42nd Street which was also the name of Chadwick Boseman’s breakout movie “42”.

In the movie 42, Boseman starred in the role as Jackie Robinson, the first Black player to play in Major League Baseball. In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mile’s social media handle is BrooklynSpider42, adding further nods to the beloved actor.

The Chadwick Boseman tribute was discovered by Twitter user @AndrewLTumlin, and was then shared by Monacelli, game director of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

“Here’s the Easter Egg I was sad no one had found,” Monacelli tweeted. “The classy and right on point (Marvel’s) NYC style tribute to the great Chadwick Boseman that we worked on with the Insomniac Games team.”

Upon finishing the Miles Morales story another tribute is made to Chadwick Boseman during the end credit sequence.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a game full of cool Easter Eggs both referring to Marvel comics and pop-culture alike.

Another heart-warming tribute can be found for the comic book legend that is Stan Lee, who passed away in 2018.

In Miles Morales, a bronze statue of Stan Lee can be found outside a restaurant called Mick’s Diner, a place where Peter Parker encountered a Stan Lee cameo in 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Accompanying the statue of Stan Lee is a plaque that reads: “Dedicate with love to the man who nourished the hearts, minds, and souls of True Believers everywhere. Excelsior!

Whether it’s video games, movies, TV or comics, the legacies of both Stan Lee and Chadwick Boseman will live forever.
