Millie Bobby Brown in talks for a lead Star Wars role

According to a recent report, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is in talks with Disney for a role in Star Wars.

The report comes from Mirror, that Millie Bobby Brown is supposedly discussing a role within the Star Wars universe. And that that role would supposedly pay around £12million, an obviously large sum of money. Mirror notes that Brown and her father/ manager combo Robert are already friends with Star Wars head Kathleen Kennedy.

A source told Mirror that “Millie is on Disney’s radar for the new Star Wars projects. She’s had contact with Kathleen, who is aware of her desire to feature in a movie or play a central role in one of the new TV projects for Disney Plus.

what else did the source say?

According to the report, at this point in time the conversations are pretty casual, though it’s noted that there’s a big sense of mutual respect. “The Disney executives know just how much of an icon she is already for the 10 to 30-year-old audience and what that brings in terms of appeal. She could easily take home $15m for a first film or series.

The source claims that Brown won’t “need to audition – it’s more a case of how the director and her bond. She has the gravitas to hold down the lead for that universe.”

Obviously Brown is best known for her role in Stranger Things. But outside of that hasn’t been a part of that many major projects. She’s currently tied up both in the Netflix show. As well as a sequel to the 2020 Netflix film Enola Holmes.

If these projects rap up quickly enough, her schedule might be clear for her to take part in a Star Wars project.

The report makes no mention of what kind of role it would be. Though it’s unlikely it would be a prequel of any established characters. With such a young actor, this does fit into Kennedy’s idea of Star Wars going on forever.
