But what could they be?

Multiple New Marvel Games Teased By Disney Job Listing

It seems that multiple Marvel video games are reportedly in development, as indicated by a recent job listing at Disney.

The job listing calls for a director of product development at Marvel games, and is advertised on the Disney Careers website [via GamingBible].

Have you dreamed of joining an expert team that will bring the full might and rich mythology of legendary Marvel characters to help creators make exceptional games?” asks the job listing.

The job listing states that any potential would-be employee would “oversee multiple exciting new projects with the most-talented game companies in the world.

The vacant position of director of product development at Marvel Games also requires the candidate be a “leader, advocate, and influencer for numerous concurrent Marvel games in development and in the marketplace.

The application also seems to test whether the potential candidate is a fan of the Marvel universe. It asks: “if you could be any Marvel Super Hero or Villain, who would you choose and why?” For me personally, it’s always going to be Wolverine!

So what could these upcoming Marvel games be? I would say that considering the success of Iron Man VR on PS4, it’s likely that we’ll get another VR game for PS4 and PS5.

Speaking of success, both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales were fantastic games in their own right. It would be amazing if we got a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, perhaps with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales starring!

However, let’s not forget that Marvel’s Avengers from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics was a commercial flop. The game reportedly saw a loss of around $67 million, so it’s less likely that we’ll see a sequel for that game.
