Mum Of Banned-For-Life Fortnite Pro Blames The Gaming Community

One of the biggest groups in pro gaming has been causing a stir online after FaZe clan member Jarvis got hit with a lifelong Fortnite ban. Jarvis’ ban was a direct result of using an aimbot during non-competitive games, as well as hacking in Creative Mode and Solos.

The news caused controversy in the gaming community, with people debating whether or not the punishment from Epic Games was warranted or completely over the top.

In a statement on the matter, Epic Games said: “We have a zero tolerance policy for the usage of cheat software. When people use aimbots or other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly.”

17-year-old Jarvis posted a tear-filled YouTube video about the saga, though he glosses over the whole hacking accusation. Though lots of people sided with the professional player, others said Epic Games was right to punish him.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Jarvis’ mother Barbara Khattri has blamed the gaming community for the immense backlash against her son, which she alleges has caused him severe distress.

“Jarvis made an error and he admits that. But the gaming community needs to re-think how it treats people,” she explained.

“He’s broken. He loves that game. He doesn’t have a devious bone in his body and what I really know is that for any mistake that doesn’t physically harm a person there should be the chance to make amends.”

Over on Twitter, Jarvis said: “I’m going to take accountability for my actions and I understand completely why this has happened, I just wish I had known how severe the consequences were at the time and I would have never thought about doing it. I love all of you who still support me, this is not the end.”
