Netflix’s The Witcher Cast & Crew Are Having An Online Bake-Off

Netflix’s The Witcher season two may have (temporarily) stopped production, but the cast and crew are managing to keep busy – by baking delicious treats in a bake-off for the ages. As reported by GamesRadar, a number of people involved in the Netflix show have been challenging each other to bake (or cook) their best creations, and it looks like a lot of hot and delicious fun.

It began when the show’s casting director Sophie Holland baked a load of bread and tagged actor Paul Bullion, who will be playing Lambert in season two. Bullion rose to the occasion by baking some scrummy-looking cinnamon rolls, which he munched on camera while holding a sword.

From here it escalated into true Witcher-style showmanship, with the bakers brandishing all sorts of weapons and delivering their goods with a hefty dose of fun on the side.

Filavandrel actor, Tom Canton, then cooked a meatilicious Beef Wellington and challenged fellow Witcher actor, Jeremy Crawford who plays Yarpen Zigrin. Crawford created what has to be one of the most stunning apple pies I’ve ever seen in my life.

Adele Oni then smashed it out of the park with chilli chocolate bites, served with some serious sass and – of course – a sword. (This is definitely my favourite entry. Check out the hilarious video in the tweet below).

Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich also got involved, tweeting her homemade meatloaf and asking: “Does that count for the #GreatWitcherBakeoff?”

We’re still waiting to see what Henry Cavill is going to whip up. Hopefully something that doesn’t use Witcher potions as an ingredient.

You can keep tabs on the bake-off as it unfolds on Twitter by following the hashtag “GreatWitcherbakeoff.”

There’s no word yet on when The Witcher season 2 will resume filming, but I’m happy looking at the cast and crew’s baked goods for now.
