The Captain Marvel movie proved all the theories that Carol Danvers is in fact the most powerful Avengers we’ve come across to date.
So where on earth has she been for all these years while Tony Stark and co slaved away trying to protect earth and ultimately being defeated by Thanos in Infinity war?
If Danvers was present for a lot of the Marvel movies, we imagine they’d be a lot shorter because, well, because she’s pretty damn strong isn’t she?
In fact it’s only in the dying seconds of Infinity War, just before Nick Fury is turned to dust that we see him try and contact Captain Marvel. A decision that seems long overdue.
Well new footage debuted at yesterday’s (April 4) CinemaCon apparently goes some way in explaining the superheroes absence up until Endgame.
This footage featured a scene where the Avengers, including Captain Marvel, make a plan to go and face Thanos, and Carol Danvers gets cocky about her powers.
Managing Director of Fandango, Erik Davies shared a snippet of the dialogue in which Danvers is asked where she’s been. Carol replies that there are a lot of other planets facing similar issues to earth, only they don’t have the Avengers.
Which is fair enough.
Best moment from #AvengersEndgame scene is when Captain Marvel is ready to just go kill Thanos herself & Rhodey is like, “Wait, where have you been all this time anyway?”
“There are a lot of planets not as fortunate to have you guys,” she says

Marvel president Kevin Feige recently addressed questions over why Fury hadn’t paged Captain Marvel sooner, suggesting it may not be as clear-cut as we firs tthought.
“The other thing I’d say is how do you know he never hit it? How do we know he never pushed it before? We’ve never seen him push it before. That doesn’t mean he never did.”
Avengers: Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on 25 April.
