New Call Of Duty 2020 Leak Claims Fan Favourite Maps Will Return

2020’s Call of Duty game has yet to be unveiled by Activision, but the rumours are coming thick and fast for what’s apparently going to be a Black Ops title with a focus on the Cold War era.

Known Call of Duty leaker, Twitter’s LongSensation, is claiming to have some more insider knowledge on the project, and has used their secondary account to share what they know. As always with leaks, take the rumours with a pinch of salt.

As shared by CharlieINTEL, the supposed leak claims that four fan-favourite maps from the CoD series will be making an appearance in the 2020 game. Nuketown, Jungle, Firing Range, and Summit are supposedly on the cards, though of course, the leak is unverified.

The leaker tweeted: “Nuketown, Jungle, Summit and Firing Range are already remastered maps coming to Black Ops. Should have remastered the original at this rate.”

Nuketown has been present in every Black Ops game released to this date, so having that map return wouldn’t seem to be a stretch. As for the others, only time will tell if they’ll be coming to the game.

This tweet was followed up with the claim that CoD 2020 won’t have its own Battle Royale mode, but will likely include Warzone in the options menu, which makes a lot of sense considering the time and effort that’s being poured into Warzone.

“The current plan is for Warzone to be somehow integrated into CoD 2020. It’s likely that Warzone will be accessible via the CoD 2020 menu,” tweeted the leaker. “This is because CoD 2020 will not have its own Battle Royale mode.”

Call of Duty 2020 is expected to launch later this year, following the tried-and-tested October/November release window usually favoured by Activision. With a launch date just a few months away, Call of Duty 2020 is expected to be revealed at any time.
