New Call Of Duty Game Will Be Revealed In The Next Few Weeks

It’s time to get excited as it’s the time of year when we get a tonne of new game announcements, reveals and release dates.

With E3 just around the corner, companies are all geared up to show off their new wares even if they’re not attending this year’s event.

One of the most exciting updates we’re waiting on is the reveal of the next addition to the Call of Duty franchise, but thankfully, the wait is nearly over.

Activision has confirmed that it’ll be revealing the game before the end of its current fiscal quarter – meaning it’s coming before June 30.

Keeping pretty tight-lipped on the game during its latest earnings call, Activision did let it slip that it’s going to be “game changing,” though what that means is up for debate.

Hopefully no battle royale mode, and no microtransactions then?

We don’t know too much about the next Call of Duty, which is being developed by Infinity Ward, the folks behind Modern Warfare.

Rumours about the game have been circulating for a while now, and it’s believed that we might be getting the reveal of the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare 4.

Rob Kostich, president of Activision, said earlier this year: “[COD 2019 will have] an entirely new campaign, a huge and expansive multiplayer world, and some fun co-op gameplay.”

CFO of the company, Dennis Durkin, also added that the game will add more to the COD series, but is also “rooted in some of the franchise’s most important history.”

Last year’s COD game, Black Ops 4, didn’t have a traditional single-player campaign, so this is some exciting news for fans of the classic games in the series

Thankfully, we’ll know more about the new title in just a few weeks’ time!
