A new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare improves on what’s considered to be the game’s worst map, and fans couldn’t be happier about the news.
Seasoned gamers will know that, of course, we’re talking about Piccadilly, the 6v6 map that takes place in the heart of London right after a terrorist attack.
Piccadilly is one of the most-disliked maps in CoD for a few issues, including the flag placement when playing Domination, and the way in which spawns will sometimes fling you right in the middle of a place you really, really don’t want to be in.
However, it seems that Infinity Ward and Activision have answered all of our Piccadilly-related prayers, releasing a new game update to address some of the map’s most frustrating issues.
According to the patch notes (which you can check out in full right here), the following fixes have been implemented for Piccadilly:
- Spawn tuning while playing TDM and Domination
- Domination flag adjustments; B Flag is now near the busses instead of the center fountain
Whether or not the update will improve on Modern Warfare’s “worst map,” well, you’ll have to be the judge of that.
Fixes to the riot shields, footsteps, challenges and some weapons have also seen a patch, which is great news for those struggling with some of the games’ bugs.
This is just the beginning for Modern Warfare, with new patches, more maps and additional content expected to be added into the game over the coming weeks and months. Keep up the great work, Infinity Ward!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available right now on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
