New Flight Simulator Update Refreshes Austria, Germany And Switzerland

Microsoft Flight Simulator will roll out a free update which includes refreshed graphics for Austria, Germany and Switzerland this month.

The game is known for its extremely accurate graphics and the developer, Asobo Studio, remain committed to keeping them up-to-date. They said in their update: “Our vision is to continuously improve and expand Microsoft Flight Simulator on a regular basis.”

Previous updates have focused on other geographical areas, including: America; Japan; France; the UK; and Ireland. The updates fold together new aerial imagery, high-resolution elevation maps and 3D cities.

Where to chart your flights after the new update

If you fancy exploring cities from the air, the update includes 3D rendering of several cities in Germany, Basel in Switzerland and Graz and Vienna in Austria. If you feel like a bit of fresh mountain air, you can also soar over the Alps, which now have even more detail. Some of the more modern industrial landscapes of Germany are also well worth a fly-by. There are also castles, palaces and even scientific observatories to check out!
