The Sims 4’s Realm Of Magic Pack Is Perfect For Potterheads

If you love the Sims 4 and Harry Potter, then you’re in luck as the new game pack is pretty much made for you.

The game pack will be available September 10 on PC and Mac, and is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 15.

The description (and trailer!) look awesome.

Sims 4’s Realm of Magic is description says: “An unreal world awaits your Sim, and when you stumble upon the secret portal, there are mystical discoveries at every turn. Interact with familiars, cast spells on Sims around you, and concoct potions for friends and enemies,

“Study up on classic teachings, get sorcerous experts to train your Sim, and become a Spellcaster by completing a quest. Collect and cast spells to make Sims fight, conjure food, or even turn others into objects. Create drinkable potions to make Sims fall in love, remove unwanted curses, or live forever!”

It continues: “An ethereal familiar – or protector — will help your Sim become the Spellcaster they were destined to be. Summon a dragon, fairy, or the familiar that best suits your Sim’s personality as a personal guard and give it a creative name,

“Get in the spirit of sorcery with outfits that suit your Sim. Over-the-top attire is cauldron-ready, while a subdued ensemble is perfect for casting new spells. Collect wands and brooms to finish the look, then decorate rooms with enchanting objects.”

Recently, an update landed for Sims 4 that changed the game in terms of personalisation.

A range of new Create-A-Sims items (or at least, one new hair and some recolours) along with a new look for the iconic Plumbob, plus a new cheat to unlock Build Mode items impressed players when they dropped last month.

In a recent livestream on Twitch, some of The Sims 4 developers got together to dish the dirt on the update, and a change to how you’ll be able to create your Sims caught everyone’s attention.

As explained in the video below [via PCGamer], the new update also introduces personality quizzes for the first time. These determine your Sims’ personality traits by asking a bunch of questions about your preferences and ideals. It’ll add a lot more backstory to your new family, if you’re into that sort of thing (and I definitely am).

No longer will you have to hand-pick (or randomise) the traits of your Sims, as you’ll instead be able to take a 10-question quiz that’ll ask things like “What’s most important to me when selecting a place to live?” or “What’s your ideal weekend plan?”

By asking Sim-related questions pertaining to the character you want to create, the quiz will assign the relevant traits for you. Want to live the high life? Expect a Sim with more expensive taste. Hate bugs? Expect a ‘Squeamish’ Sim.

Excitingly, you’ll be able to use the quiz feature to randomise a career for your Sim based on their personality, and you’ll FINALLY have variables when it comes to how much money they start their lives with – without using a cheat box. Hooray!

Questions can be replaced if you think they might not apply to your Sim, and there are pack-specific questions so you’ll need to own them all to see them all, because this is EA.

Thankfully for those Simmers who don’t like change, you’ll still be able to create your Sim in the traditional way that we all know and love.
