With Resident Evil 3’s remaster still fresh in all of our minds (and on our consoles), it’s wild to think that rumours are already swirling about a new game in the franchise, but if reports are true then there’s more coming for 2021, and it’s going to pack a whole host of features.
(1/3)Ah what the Hell, I’ll tease a bit more about this 2021 RE game & then not talk deeper about it until a bit after RE3 is out. The 2021 RE game started development in late 2016, by the time it releases it’ll have been in development for 4-4.5 years (been in dev at the moment

According to Twitter user AestheticGamer, the rumoured new Resident Evil game (which is apparently in-development) is “the biggest departure the series has ever taken.” It’s also tipped to be cross-gen, and will not be a remake but a completely brand new game.
Let me clarify with that last tweet thread, the stuff I’m saying on 2021 RE I’m sticking to things I know 100% which are unchangeable at this point. I would be more openly blunt about it but I’m aware of someone sharing the full scoop in April, they’ve done a lot of investigation

AestheticGamer even warns that a lot of people might not be too happy when the game is revealed, leaving a lot of questioning open for what could possibly divide fans so much. According to the Twitter user, gameplay is ‘similar to Resident 3’ and yet so different, but they aren’t going to reveal more about what that means until more news comes out organically.
The 2021 game has reportedly been in development since 2016, and is ‘set to be announced really soon’, so I guess until we know more we’ll have to eagerly await any news about its potential release.
