New Rocksteady Job Listings Hint At A New Batman Game

Recent job listings from Rocksteady Games could suggest the company is working on a brand-new Batman game.

The listings [found via PCGamesN] seem to hint that Rocksteady is preparing for the reveal of a new game, and of course, Rocksteady is the team behind the immensely-popular Batman:Arkham games.

While there’s no available jobs in the development side of things, there are openings for QA testers, cinematic animation and a video promo artist. This likely points to a nearly-finished product that needs marketing help and game testing.

So why do we think this is Batman? Well, it’s not the Harry Potter game that was rumoured to be coming from Rocksteady last year, and we’ve already heard the rumours about a new DC title.

A post that made its way to Reddit in 2018 suggested that Rocksteady could be working on a Justice League game, and the internet had a lot of thoughts about the idea.

The post stated: “Recently, job hirings have shed some light on when Rocksteady plan to announce their next big AAA title, alongside an industry insider letting it slip that contingent upon some milestones, Rocksteady could announce their game in early 2019.”

The Reddit user also went on to add: “[Rocksteady] says the main villain in the game is Starro. Sounds kind of lame, until you look back at the clues Rocksteady has hidden in previous games.

“In all of their past games, Rocksteady has laid an easter egg that points to their next game. In Arkham Asylum we had the secret room. In Arkham City we had the scarecrow barge, and I believe the last one is in Arkham Knight.

“In Arkham Knight’s DLC, Batgirl: A Matter of Family, there’s a hidden Starro Easter Egg where you can actually see the villain hidden within a gigantic test tube!…”

There have been rumours about a new Batman or a Justice League game circulating for over a year now, so it would make a lot of sense if there’s more to it than just wishful thinking.

Would you like to see a new Batman title from Rocksteady Games?
