Over on the game’s official website, CD Projekt Red writes: “Among the features introduced by Update 3.6 is save file integration with Steam and GOG, allowing gamers to continue their PC adventure on the go, as well as HUD, menu and Gwent touch control support.”

Other changes the update brings include a wider range of text languages and graphical changes.

The full update list is as follows:

  • Added touch control support.
  • Added save file integration with GOG, Steam and versions of the game for Switch from different regions.

If you’re planning on moving your save file to Switch, CDPR notes the following:

  • Mod-related bugs and blockers might get transferred from a modded PC game save file.
  • If the save file name has been changed on PC, the Switch’s Cloud Save feature won’t be able to recognize it.

Hopefully the update will also be fixing some of the crashing issues the Nintendo Switch Witcher 3 has. Although it’s still a technical marvel and looks great even in handheld, I’ve sunk about 120 hours into The “Switcher” and experienced maybe 10-15 crashes. (I also had my game file corrupted and nearly died a little inside).

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for Nintendo Switch.
