We’ve been hearing a lot about the supposedly-upcoming next Batman Arkham game, but a new leak suggests all might not be as it seems.
Known leaker Sabi recently took to Twitter to share what they believe is an accurate update on the current state of the next Batman Arkham game.

The as-of-yet unannounced title has been heavily expected to rely on Batman’s Court of Owls storyline, serving as a continuation of the Batman Arkham series.
However, it’s now being claimed that the next title won’t be a new addition to the franchise, but instead will be a reboot.

Sabi tweeted: “Now that I’ve talked to multiple people on it…the new Batman game does seem to be a reboot. The name also changed during development.
“On the bright side, the Court of Owls is still a big focus, as I said before.”
What’s VERY interesting here is that since tweeting this leak, Sabi’s account has now been deactivated. Whether this is down to this leak in particular, or one of the many others the account has shared in the past, is unclear.
GameByte managed to snag a screenshot of the tweet before the account went dark:

Back during the tail-end of 2019 we caught wind of rumours suggesting the new game will go by the name Batman: Arkham Legacy. If Sabi’s leaks are correct, this will likely no longer be the case.
At the time, Sabi also suggested that you’ll be able to play as the entire Bat-Family, which would most likely have included Robin, Batgirl and Nightwing. Whether or not that’s still the case remains to be seen.

As always with leaks and rumours, take them with a pinch of salt until we hear any official word.
