A known Pokémon leaker has hinted that fans won’t be happy with the next addition to the beloved franchise.

Twitter leaker @Nintendalerts recently responded to a fan’s complaint over the number of remakes and remasters Nintendo is currently putting out, and their response has definitely raised some eyebrows.
As spotted by ComicBook and CentroLeaks, Nintendalerts hinted that gamers will be pretty upset with what Nintendo’s got planned for the future of Pokémon, though they didn’t clarify if they’re speaking on games, expansions or something else.
They tweeted [translated]: “And to think that people are complaining about the remasters, when they go to see the Pokémon thing that happens they are going to b*tch.”
The rumour is particularly interesting considering recent suggestions that Nintendo is planning on releasing remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Though the two leaks aren’t known to be connected, my mind is gravitating towards the idea that the remakes – if real – may be presented in a similar format to the controversial Pokémon Yellow remake, which came in the forms of Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee. That would definitely leave Pokémon fans with a bitter taste in their mouths…
Of course, this is all based on rumours and speculation, so take the idea with a grain of salt until we hear more.
As for those potential Diamond and Pearl remakes, the rumour comes from a YouTube video from RuffledRowlit, which references an anonymous leak claiming two new Game Freak titles will release in November 2021.

The two games are reportedly titled “Max Diamond and Pearl,” and are full remakes of the 2006 classics.
According to the leak, Game Freak has been hard at work on both titles for quite a while now – which might explain why we first heard these rumours back in October of 2019.
Though the YouTuber isn’t the main source of the anonymous leaks, you can check out their discussion of them in the video below.
