Nic Cage is a meme that will probably never die. From ‘BEEEEES?!’ to seeing his face on everything from mugs to boxer shorts, Mr Cage is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Although it’s been a while since we’ve seen a genuinely unique Nicolas Cage meme, it seems that one gamer has found a way to bring it back from the annals of meme-time.
A modder by the name of kasaiji has replaced the death screen in FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with a picture of the beloved Hollywood actor.
The mod, which you can download and enjoy right here [via PCGamer], is guaranteed to bring a little humour to even the most gruesome and frustrating Sekiro deaths imaginable.
There’s even two difference variations of Nic available, depending on how dead you are – you’ll be blessed with a grey Nic if you can still revive, or a red one for when you’re really dead.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the immensely successful new hit from the creators of some of the most notoriously difficult games in history – the Dark Souls and Bloodborne games.
The game launched to critical acclaim, though lots of people are asking: should the game have an easy mode?
I am looking forward to people to stop talking about Sekiro. It’s a game that is made for fans of ultra hard games. Adding an easy mode is like adding an indoor escalator to climbing mount everest. On another note I don’t like the dark souls games. Ninja Gaiden for life.

Damn it’s starting to bother me mildly how many people think sekiro needs an easy “story mode”… You have enough easy games to enjoy! Fromsoft is maybe the ONLY AAA company making “hard games”, why do you want to spoil that? Masochists deserve games to!!! ?

No. It doesn’t (in my humble opinion). Keep hard games hard! Have you been playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice?
