Nintendo Appears To Have Leaked ‘Building Mode’ For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

This came out of nowhere…

The House of Mario is usually pretty good at keeping a lid on its secrets, but it seems that the company overlooked one teeny tiny detail in its new commercial for the insanely-popular Nintendo Switch title, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In the new commercial eagle-eyed Nintendo fans have spotted something highly, highly unusual when the UI is featured.

Under the ‘Games and More’ section there appears to be what’s shown as “Stage Builder.”

Stage…builder…hm….?

You can just about make out the words in this screen-grab from the commercial. (thanks, Nintendo Everything!)

Although nothing’s yet been confirmed (or denied) by Nintendo, it seems like this is a pretty difficult one for the company to talk its way out of. It’s fairly safe to say this is definitely the next move for Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

It makes perfect sense for a Stage Builder to be a part of the next update for Smash. Bros Ultimate.

Stage Building was present in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U, meaning it’s pretty much a staple of the series now.

We even have a pretty good idea of when we can expect this new mode to launch.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due to get an update – update 3.0 – in Spring this year. Here’s hoping that this is when we’ll be getting a “Stage Builder” mode!

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched last year and it’s still appearing in the top Nintendo charts thanks to its excellent gameplay and replayability.

The game received glowing reviews and it’s good to see Nintendo plans to keep the content coming for the latest in one of the mainstay franchises for the company. Hopefully there’s even more in store for Smash fans in the coming months!
