Nolan North Is ‘Trying To Get Marvel To Do Another Deadpool Game’

Video game actor Nolan North is apparently calling on Marvel to release a new Deadpool video game.

North, whose expansive career in video games includes playing everyone from Deadpool to Nathan Drake, spoke about how much he’d love to be a part of a new Deadpool game following the release of his latest starring role in Marvel’s Avengers.

In a recent interview with ComicBookMovie, the Uncharted star discussed his time playing the potty-mouthed character in games such as Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and of course, Deadpool.

He told the publication: “I’m trying to get Marvel to do another Deadpool video game, and we could have Ryan come on and do a cameo in the video game.”

After the story was picked up by IGN, North took to Twitter to cheekily elaborate on his comment, joking: “As much as I love Ryan Reynolds I was actually hoping for the other Canadian, @RyanGosling and his dreamy blue eyes. Big fan of La La Land.”

Oh you joker, you.

It really is about time we saw a new Deadpool game, with the previous title first launching on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in June 2013. Since its original release, the game came to Steam, PS4 and Xbox One at various points in its lifetime, though it was pulled from sale a couple of times.

We’ve since seen the Deadpool character make a splash in cinema, proving there’s definitely more than enough interest in seeing the hero come back to the world of video games. For now it seems that with family-friendly Disney owning Marvel and Fox, we might not be seeing much of the foul-mouthed fiend.

Whether that’ll happen…well, we’ll just have to wait and see what the next generation of gaming might bless us with!
