Epic Games’ Fortnite may have been falling out of favour over the past few months, but it’s still devoted to providing brand-new content to keep its fanbase playing.
One of the upcoming new additions to the game is a recently-announced skin which is nothing particularly interesting in itself, but Reddit seems to think it’s a very familiar looking skin…
Sharing on the r/fortniteBR subreddit, a user by the name of Quader_Gaming shared a side-by-side image of Epic Games’ new armor compared to Skyrim‘s Daedric Armor and…well…take a look for yourself.
Although fellow Redditors were quick to agree with the OP’s comment that the two sets are incredibly similar, there were plenty of people who saw ‘inspiration’ from other franchises in the new skin.
“Finally someone else saw it, also spider knight tho,” commented one user.
Another writes: “It’s also pretty similar to primeval armors from Guild Wars, too, and probably dozens of other armor sets from other franchises.”
Epic recently teased the new Discovery skin – assumedly to get ahead of the data miners – and it’s called Ruin.
Do you think it looks similar to Skyrim‘s Daedric armor, or is Reddit reaching with this one?
In other Fortnite-related news, it seems Thanos might be returning to the game just in time for the cinematic release of Avengers: Endgame.
Last year, Thanos featured in Fortnite‘s Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mode. In the LTM, one player in each match could acquire the Infinity Gauntlet, catching it after it randomly fell from the sky.
The Gauntlet would then turn the player into Thanos following a nifty little animation. You’d then play as normal, except you’re Thanos. It was a cool mode and an excellent way to get all excited for the launch of Avengers: Infinity War.
Thanks to data miners, Thanos’ name has been spotted in the files, suggesting his return could be imminent…
