The Xbox Game Pass subscription service just got itself a fantastic new addition in what’s one of the most celebrated games of the PlayStation One era.

The one and only Final Fantasy 7 has officially come to Game Pass (and of course I’m talking about the 1997 classic, not the 2020 Part One remake).

Sure to scratch an itch for many Xbox players, Final Fantasy VII HD is available to play through Game Pass for both console & PC, making it more accessible than ever before. If you missed out on the original back in the day, now’s a better time than ever before to get stuck into the world of Cloud, Tifa and their many companions.

If you’ve never experience the joy of FF7, the classic game’s official description reads as follows: “Relive the RPG that redefined gaming. The world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet’s very life force as Mako energy.

“Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite Soldier unit, now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.”

Final Fantasy 7 isn’t the only game that’s been added to the service recently, as horror game The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan also crept onto Game Pass earlier this month.

This short and spooky tale comes from the developers of Until Dawn, and if you haven’t yet played it you can now play it on your Xbox console (though sadly, not your PC).
