The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is the nostalgia hit that the whole world is waiting for, and PlayStation is celebrating the upcoming launch of the game with the most Instagrammable pool floatie of 2018.
Yep, they’re giving away a Spyro the dragon pool floatie, so you can float away the hours/days/weeks/months until the game launches in style.
This ultra-limited edition floatie is only available for one lucky winner over at the official Instagram for PlayStation in Spain, which makes sense, considering the rest of the world will be prepping for winter pretty soon.
The Insta post (translated from Spanish) reads: “Attention #Contest! Would you like to win this #flotador #hinchable from #SpyroTheDragon EXCLUSIVE
“Participating is very easy !: 1- Follow @playstationes on Instagram.
“2- Mention in an anecdote 3 friends with whom you would go on a trip to a SECRET MISSION and where you would use this fun inflatable.
“The most original, funny and in line with the game comment will be the one that conquers the jury.
“You have until August 23 to participate, since on August 24 we will inform the winner. Contest valid only for PlayStation Spain fans on Instagram residing in Spain. Remember that #SpyroReignitedTrilogy is now available for booking here: https://bit.ly/SPYROPS4 (and in BIO) will soon arrive at # PS4 ? #Spyro #PlayStation #Gamer #Summer #Pool”
Obviously we’re crying that we’re not in Spain, but one lucky person will be nabbing this glorious floatie.
In other (sad) Spyro news, it’s recently been announced that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been delayed.
According to a statement from the game’s developer, Toys For Bob, the trio of games still needs “more love and care.”
In a blog post one of the studio’s top dogs, Paul Yan states: “Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years.
“We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018.
“I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”
I’m not sure if all Spyro fans will agree…
The original release date of September has now been pushed all the way back to 13th November, 2018.
