Pokemon fans have dubbed Scarlet and Violet for the Nintendo Switch and its results are quite brilliant. Even if I do say so myself.
Fans of the Pokemon video game franchise will be aware of its lack of voice acting. For the most part, we have to make do with the odd word here or there. Perhaps even the occasional Pokemon grunt. If we’re lucky, a Pokemon might even say its name.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet now have voices!
This is in contrast to the ever-popular TV and movie adaptations, brought to life by its wealth of talented voice actors.
Sadly, however, the same cannot be said for video game adaptations. Instead, we have to make do with mostly silent characters using our imagination to hear their voices in our minds.
Unfortunately, the recent release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is no exception to that trend. Thankfully, however, as reported by Eurogamer, some voice actors have taken it upon themselves to provide a dub for the in-game cut-scenes.

Be wary of spoilers!
Just by watching the brief five-minute video below, thanks to the independent voice actors, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sounds very much what you would expect from a TV and movie adaptation.
The video in question was created by Joe Goffeney, with voices being provided by friends including John Patneaude, and more. However, just a word of warning. The video below will contain some story spoilers. So, please keep that in mind before watching.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have launched in a buggy state
Sadly, since the launch of Scarlet and Violet, the game is said to have fallen way below fans’ expectations. While being fundamentally a fun game, bugs and glitches have put a damper on its release.
Furthermore, some fans have also accused the game of being a visual and performance downgrade to the likes of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which launched earlier in 2022.
Hopefully, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be fixed soon
Hopefully, the developers at GameFreak will release a patch to fix the games’ reported issues as soon as possible
