A new leak suggests that a Pokémon “Super Collection” of classic games could be launching as soon as next year. Supposedly called the “Super Collection,” it’s rumoured to include a bunch of fan-favourite Pokémon titles.

Before we get into this one, note that the rumour comes from a now-deleted 4Chan post spotted by Dexerto, so make of that what you will. Hopefully there’s some truth to this one (and the post now being deleted might suggest there is), but get your salt shaker out just in case.
With that out of the way, the Pokémon “Super Collection” is allegedly a collection of classic Pokémon games, making their way to Nintendo Switch in 2021. According to the unverified leak, the games include Pokemon X and Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Pokemon Sun and Moon.

The post also referenced a further two unnamed Pokémon games (perhaps Diamond/Pearl?) before adding that the collection won’t include the ultra versions of Sun and Moon.
Though there’s not too much credence to the rumours, you can’t ignore that there’s definitely some Pokémon rumblings happening behind the scenes at Nintendo.

Earlier this summer, a leak claimed that remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl would be landing in 2021, and just a few weeks after that, Nintendo reportedly filed new trademarks for “Pokémon SoulSilver” and “HeartGold.” While this could all be a coincidence, it definitely seems as though 2021 might be a big year for fans of the classic Pokémon titles.
As is typical for Nintendo, if the news is true, we might not be seeing an announcement until just a few months before release.

Whatever’s on the way, hopefully we’ll be getting some classic Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch in 2021!
