Remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl have been rumoured for a long time now, but another new leak has lent credence to the rumours.

As spotted by Dexerto, a YouTube video from RuffledRowlit references an anonymous leak which claims two new Game Freak titles will release in November 2021.
The two games are reportedly titled “Max Diamond and Pearl,” and are full remakes of the 2006 classics.

According to the leak, Game Freak has been hard at work on both titles for quite a while now – which might explain why we first heard these rumours back in October of 2019.
Though the YouTuber isn’t the main source of the anonymous leaks, you can check out their discussion of them in the video below.

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are two of the most beloved titles in the longstanding franchise and remakes of the duo have long since been requested by fans. It’s hoped by many that if remakes ever do materialise, they’ll follow the straight-remake path, as opposed to the reimagined Pokémon games such as Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl were the first instalments of the Fourth Generation, and originally launched on Nintendo DS in Japan in September 2006. The games later came to the West in 2007. An updated version of the games entitled Pokémon Platinum was released two years later.

The games were the first in the series to implement online play via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and they also introduced over 100 new Pokémon to the series.
As always with leaks and rumours, take the supposed news of a Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remake with a grain of salt until confirmed. Knowing Nintendo, if the news is true, we won’t be hearing until a couple of months before launch!
Keep your fingers crossed for this one!
