Pokemon Unite is coming to mobile devices this September. It was confirmed during the Pokemon dedicated Nintendo Direct event.
Pokemon Unite is a free-to-play MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) and it already launched for Nintendo Switch in July. However, it was also announced to come to mobile devices later in the year, but up until now, we have had no release date.
Thankfully during this week’s Nintendo Direct we finally got a release date for Pokemon Unite on mobile devices. The MOBA will be coming to iOS and Android on September 22nd.
“Nintendo Switch and mobile device users can play together in Pokemon Unite – we hope as many people as possible can enjoy it together,” said Nintendo. Though I wonder if Nintendo Switch players will be able to take advantage of the head start from July?
Players will gain rewards for pre-registration
You can pre-register for Pokemon Unite on the App Store and Google Play right now. Taking inspiration from Kickstarter-like stretch goals, Pokemon Unite will have “pre-registration” tiered rewards.

1 million pre-registrations will bag players 1,000 Aeos Tickets, 2.5 million pre-registrations will reward players with Pikachu’s Unite License. Finally, 5 million pre-registrations will reward players with a Festival Style: Pikachu.
“We hope you’ll all pre-register and look forward to the mobile release,” announced Nintendo. “Players who were quick to jump in with the Nintendo Switch version can also get Zeraora’s Unite License as a launch bonus. The Unite License can also be used in the mobile version by linking accounts.”
