What a win!

Pro Gamer Wins Warzone Gulag Fight By Pretending To Be AFK

Call of Duty: Warzone’s Gulag can be a challenge for even the most experienced CoD players on the planet. The Gulag sees players who’ve died in combat duke it out in a 1v1 Gunfight, with the winner scooping the opportunity to return to the match. The Gulag can get pretty intense, so maybe the best thing to do is just…play dead?

That’s exactly what pro gamer and top streamer, TimTheTatman did during a recent trip to the Gulag. As reported by TheGamer, TimTheTatman pulled off what’s known as the ‘AFK Strat,’ in which a player pretends they’re away-from-keyboard in the hopes of deterring the player they’re fighting against.

It’s incredibly risky (most people would just take the opportunity to shoot the other person, whether they’re just pretending to be AFK or if they’re actually gone). However, for TimTheTatMan, the odds were definitely in his favour.

As you can see in the clip below, it went VERY well for the pro gamer, and he managed to defeat his opponent with the power of quick wit and an ever quicker draw.

Check it out in the tweet below!

It’s not always smooth sailing for TimTheTatman though. Earlier this month, the pro streamer was playing Call of Duty: Warzone along with fellow professional gamers DougIsRaw and Dr Disrespect, when he was sent to the Gulag.

If you’ve played before, you probably know that viewers in a Gulag match can throw rocks into the arena, which is what happened when TimTheTatman entered. In an unexpected turn of events, a spectator threw a rock into the field, where it proceeded to detonate a proximity bomb laid down by TimTheTatman. As you can imagine, it wasn’t a pretty ending. Check out the unbelievable death in the Twitch clip below!
