Project M is a Heavy Rain inspired thriller from NCSoft, the makers of Lineage and Guild Wars, and it looks stunning!
Project M is powered by the Unreal Engine 5, and it looks incredible. According to an NCSoft blog post (translated by Google), the character models and environments are created using 3D scanning, as well as motion capture.
“The new interactive movie game – a console project under development – will feature different stories and endings depending on the player’s choices,” reads the blog post.
A new level of next-gen realism
The trailer released for Project M asks the question “What if?” What if you or a loved one were killed, would you want to take revenge? Furthermore, if the main protagonist is to be killed and was able to take revenge, does this mean that the afterlife will be explored?
It also seems that the story might tell the tale of the main protagonist’s partner being murdered. The Project M trailer looks very QTE heavy, as you might expect from a game inspired by the works of Quantic Dream. It also gives us hints about how the player’s choice might impact the story.
Is Project m multiformat?
No release date or platforms were revealed in the trailer. However, all the QTE prompts feature PlayStation symbols, so presumably, it’s at least coming to PS5. Hopefully, Project M is also coming to PC as well as Xbox Series X/S.
