PS4 Player Sets Record After Getting 50 Platinum Trophies In 20 Hours

A PlayStation 4 gamer has broken a world record after earning 50 platinum trophies in the space of just 20 hours. How that’s even possible, I have no idea, but it’s a massive achievement that’s made me insanely jealous of this player’s skills.

As reported by Game Rant., YouTube channel PS4Trophies recently hosted a livestream aiming to break the world record for most trophies earned in a short space of time.

As part of the challenge, the YouTube channel went only for PS4 trophies (no PS Vita and no PS3), but “stacking” trophies were permissible. If a game had multiple platinum trophies with “unique trophy lists across different regions,” then these would still count. This meant that the record includes some repeating games.

PS4Trophies, otherwise known as Brian, took to Twitter to share the achievement, writing: “So I did a thing over the past 20 hours, where I played to full completion, 50 games and earned 50 Platinums.

“Thought it’d be much easier than it was but with the community really pulled me through and this is dedicated to them. Check out the profile, https://psnprofiles.com/PS_4Trophies…

“The games weren’t a challenge but the difficulty was keeping the mental focus to speedrun through the 50 games while having to adjust between top down scrollers, twin stick shooters, side scrollers, etc and the control scheme changups. Muscle Memory, focus & adrenaline was key.”
