The PS5 DualSense Edge pro controller price as well as the release date has been revealed, and it’s more expensive than expected.
Rumours of a pro DualSense controller were floating around for quite some time. However, the PS5 DualSense Edge wireless was finally revealed by Sony in August 2022.
DualSense Edge is a nifty controller
The DualSense Edge is the: “first-ever high-performance, ultra-customisable controller developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Designed to give you an edge in gameplay by allowing you to create custom controls, the DualSense Edge wireless controller invites you to craft your own unique gaming experience tailored to your playstyle.”
Furthermore, the DualSense Edge will allow button remapping, and the ability to fine-tune analogue stick sensitivity and triggers. It of course also features the DualSense Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers. Additionally, it also comes with three changeable sets of stick caps as well as two changeable sets of back buttons.

- Two High dome caps
- Two Low dome caps, two Half dome back buttons as well as two Lever back buttons
- Connector housing
- Carrying case

How much does the DualSense Edge cost?
The DualSense Edge is not cheap, especially compared to the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Sony’s pro controller has an RRP of £209.99/€239.99/$199.99 USD. However, if you want a set of replaceable stick modules, that will cost you an extra £19.99/€24.99/$19.99 USD.
This is in comparison to the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller which is currently being sold for £142.99 via the Microsoft Store. However, even at full price, the Elite Series 2 is much cheaper at £159.99
The custom Elite is also cheaper than the DualSense Edge
Moreover, the custom Elite Series 2 controller became available to purchase this week with prices starting from £124.99. This cheapest option comes with paddles, a different set of thumbsticks and a D-pad, and/or purchasing a carrying case/charging pack.
However, if you want a custom Elite Series 2 controller with extra Elite accessories, it will cost you £174.99. Which again, is much cheaper than the DualSense Edge controller from Sony. The custom Elite Series controllers are available now via the Xbox Design Lab.
