Sony has teased that the PlayStation 5 will have the best launch lineup of games in the whole history of the company, so if you’re not already on the PS5 hype train now’s the time to jump on board!
Speaking with GamesIndustry.biz, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s global head of marketing Eric Lempel hinted at the “incredibly exciting lineup,” which we already know will hopefully – at the very least – include Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
“Once you get beyond all of the features of the PlayStation 5, which makes it a true next-generation product, it’s about the content,” he told the publication, before adding: “it’s the best line-up that we’ve ever seen in the history of PlayStation”. Colour me impressed!
Although we’ve seem quite a few of the games coming to PS5, including Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West, we’re still in the dark when it comes to the console’s specific launch titles.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is likely to be releasing alongside the PS5, with its release window the same as the console itself: Holiday 2020. Still, we’ve yet to see any official confirmation of this, and with 2020 being the Year of Delays it’s best to play it safe with assumptions.
Sony has teased there’s still many more gaming announcements coming before the PS5 releases and the rumour mill is in full swing. Leaks about a Silent Hill reboot, a Prince of Persia title and even hints of a new Uncharted have been rife this year, so hopefully we’ll be seeing some news on these soon. Let’s not forget that God of War is also due a sequel – an update on that one would be MUCH appreciated!
