PUBG Is Getting A Temporary Downgrade Due To FPS Issues

It’s not been that long since PUBG officially left Xbox Game Preview but it seems that the game is already going to be facing some downtime after fans have complained about the frame-rate.

According to its official website, PUBG developers are actually having to reduce the game’s settings to get the title to run on the console, citing huge performance problems as the cause.

In a recent post on the site, the PUBG Xbox team confirmed: “We understand that many of our players on the Xbox One X are experiencing performance issues while playing the game, specifically frame-rate drops…

“We wanted to let our players know that we are aware of frame-rate issues on the Xbox One X, and that this is a top priority for us. We understand the frustration that this is causing and we will be deploying a hotfix on September 18 to implement some changes that will help with this issue.

“This hotfix will include toning down many of the graphical settings on the Xbox One X.”

A fix is a great thing to put into place, but a downgrade less than a month after its full Xbox One release? It’s not surprising PUBG players aren’t too happy…

It sounds like the team are also trying to cater to all different types of PUBG gamers, stating: “We are also working on a long term solution for Xbox One X that we intend on implementing in the future that will cater to two different audiences: those who prefer better graphics and those who prefer better performance and don’t mind sacrificing some graphical quality.

“We currently do not have many details to share, but will provide updates on this as soon as we’re able to.”
